Saskatchewan Wheat Pool elevator, Elbow, Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Wheat Pool elevator, Elbow, Saskatchewan. Constructed in 1913 and upgraded in 1957 and 1974, this is an excellent example of a traditional wooden cribbed-construction, gable-roofed elevator with gable-roofed cupola. The "standard plan" elevator, circa 1910 - 1965, typically stood 50 to 60 feet high, with approximately 40,000 bushel capacity. The Saskatchewan Wheat Pool donated the elevator to the Village of Elbow in 2007 to use as a museum. Jumbo 6×11 art card, item #2016070010177elbowelevatortrees
